Welcome Back!

Welcome-Back
We are all looking forward to welcoming you back to school in the morning. The new classroom looks lovely and we are all very excited to being a two form entry school for the very first time. Our school is growing and we couldn’t be more pleased. You will spot where the roof has been replaced and round the back of the school we have beautiful new windows in all the junior classrooms which will really help us keep warm in the winter.
We are very much looking forward to seeing the children and finding out all about their holidays and beginning a new school year.

Cooper’s Alley Tunnel Painting.

We have been very excited to be involved in a 6 month project with the Metropolitan Police for a community Art Project. This is a project where the young people from our local schools have been able to contribute by designing and then painting a mural within the tunnels that are in ‘Coopers Alley’, the alleyway that runs from Deyncourt Gardens to Howard Road and then on to St Mary’s Lane opposite Coopers’ school.

We set about painting the Cranham Logo as it has such strong links to our school, our neighbourhood and James Oglethorpe.

The aim of the project is to firstly brighten this tunnel – (So far only the London Underground owned tunnel has been painted, but it is hoped that in future years the Network Rail tunnel can also be completed).and to provide our young people with a sense of pride in our community and a feeling of ownership of their environment.

The Art work will be completed next week so do go through the alleyway between Howard Road and Deyncourt to see ours and other local primary and secondary schools artwork.
